Hi guys 'n' gals, and the latest news is right here...

21/03/08 -Aaaight! This year The Way promised bigger and better gigs. Yes, we delivered. We will be supporting The Music and Robots In Disguise later this year at Coventry's biggest charity festival, along with lots of other bits and bobs, so keep checking that pesky events page! Err, what else...? Oh yeh, our drummer, Dan got arrested while he was drunked, but noone knows why.He has a beard, he is secretive! The person that guesses closest or most imaginatively (entries on the forum) will win a prize. You can choose from either 1: a CD of The Way's latest tracks or 2: A sexy night with Steve. Closing date 1st April 08.

13/02/08 -NUMBER 1!!!The Way sit in their rightful place, at number 1 in the indiestore charts, thanks to those of our fans who took a minute to download our single 'Jacuzzi Rock Love'. Thankyou to everyone, and please, if you haven't already done so, download the track from www.indiestore.com/theway to keep us up there at number 1. I said the phrase 'number 1' a lot there didn't I.

07/02/08 - The Way have finished recording 3 new tracks at Woodbine Studios with top button twiddling producer, John Rivers. The single is one of your favourites, 'JACUZZI ROCK LOVE'. We want the band to get somewhere this year, so please could you go to www.indiestore.com/theway and have a listen to it. If you like it, you can buy it for just 79p!!! (Ooh, now THAT'S a bargain) Incredibly cheap and easy to get your hands on, and if enough people buy it, we will get to number one in the charts, and subsequently lead the world to rock 'n' roll glory, SO PLEASE, JUST TAKE A MINUTE, BUY THE SINGLE AND URGE YOUR MATES TO DO THE SAME. Love you lots way-sters. xxx

20/01/08 - Hello rat fans and a happy 2008. If your year looks set to be as busy as ours, you're going to be busy little way-sters! This year, we have so many bits to get through we put Annabel Chong to shame. Starting in January, The Way are once again booked into the fabulous Woodbine Studios, in the view of recording 2, maybe 3 tracks. Due to popular demand, we have decided on 'Jacuzzi, Rock, Love' (which will be the single release available online for download....watch this space), 'The Luckiest Man In The World' and if we can squeeze it in, 'Don't Wanna Love You'. During and afterwards, we will be shooting a video for the single. Please could everyone download the track!!! We're not interested in the money, we just want the sales tally to get noticed by record labels so they can see how much better than Robbie Williams and The Darkness we are.

In further news, 2008 will be a busy year for live music. February will be cram-packed with performances and appearances on radio stations, to promote our single launch. From March onwards, we're living up to our promise of making the gigs bigger and better than ever. Our Christams gig at The Oak in 2008 went down a storm, and so we're looking to do more like that, which means there may be a few LESS gigs, but they will be more worthwhile. Check out the gigs&events page, I'll try to update it as often as possible, it's just difficult when you have pesky time-consuming world-domination to think about. All the best for the up and coming year, keep checking the site, and sending in your way-sters pics!!!

20/09/07 - Apologies for it being a while since we updated, I was busy sleeping. Anyway, all the gigs and previous gigs are updated on the Events Page, some good ones actually! Please make sure you put some time aside for at least one of them, cos the band have been working on their live performance for the past week or two and it's really worth seeing what we've done. We're all on facebook now, so look us up if you want to keep intouch that way. Hope to see you all soon, peace out my little sausages.

28/06/07 - Woo, I finally got round to putting all the gigs we've done on the previous gigs bit (EVENTS PAGE), and update the gig dates coming up over the next few months. It takes ages cos I don't actually know how to do computers, I just click on things and hope nothing explodes. There have also been some much needed additions to the WAYSTERS FANPAGE!!! Poor old Jagz, he came to, like, EVERY gig over the summer, but I just couldn't get him on the fanpage until it got updated - you're on it now mate, about time too (sorry!). Jagz has won our prestigious spring/summer season FAN OF THE SEASON award. This entitles him to an evening jamming with the band whenever he can be arsed. Can everyone who isn't on the fan page please send in your pic and I'll add you too, and if there's already a pic of you on it that you think makes you look a bit gooney, just send in a better one and I'll replace it. Finally, can everyone start using the forum cos I do get nice e-mails but the rest of the band don't generally get to see them unless I max out my printing ink in the name of flattery. Post whatever you like on there, start a topic about how wonderful your trousers feel today, I don't care, just use it parleeez. Check soon for more update goodness.

01/04/07 - Votes are going well with the competition we entered with The Observer. If we win, we get studio time, a wicked gig at a new venue in Leamington, a review in the Observer and a chance to play Reading Festival. Cool ey?! Anyway, please vote for us by going to www.myspace.com/voteforbands and listening to Katie Kissed The Boys! Cheers dudes! Have also updated the gigs page so you can see what we've been up to.

21/03/07 - All the updates from the gigs we've been doing can been seen on the events page. There are some nice pictures too so please check them out cos I laboured on that 'til the early hours of the morning just so you can look and go 'oooh, brill' and stuff. In further news, Dan got his legs waxed for comic relief:

Sorry Dan, had to be done.

22/02/07 - 'March Mayhem' coming your way! Somewhere around 7 or 8 gigs throughout March, that's 2 a week, mixing the 'rock-n-roll-shag-while-you-listen-to' gigs with the 'acoustic-chat-people-up-and-look-seductive-even-though-you're-pissed' gigs, SO GO CHECK OUT THE EVENTS PAGE. Ooh, it'll be proper BO I tell thee. Anyway, IF you go to every gig in March, Mandz will let you stroke his hair for 5 minutes...WHAT A DEAL! Dan may even throw in some beard pluming for good measure - who could resist?

30/01/07 -MORE GIGS! We've been busy taking bookings for 2007, and have plenty to choose from. We're even looking FULLY BOOKED during certain months...a resounding WOOHOO all round! Check out the EVENTS page, it keeps being added to. Also, you know the Way-Sters fan page...? Well, get your pics on it cos I haven't had any sent in for a week or two. Ta!

12/01/07 -GIGS GALORE!!! We promised this would be a busy year for us, and we delivered. Go check out the events page if you don't beleive me, we've crammed in loads of performances between now and April, spreading right the way across The Midlands. More will be added soon, so keep checking cos we want you there!

04/01/07 -HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It's 2007, the year of The Way (probably). This year you can expect beautiful things, from merchandise to bigger gigs, from new songs to new new recordings, it's all going off! Woo! Over Christmas and the new year, The Way have been looking at the acoustic set and giving it a facelift. I can't say too much about it (it's a surprise), except the new, revised, super duper acoustic set is well worth seeing. This is why we have booked in a few gigs to show it off a bit, so check out the events page, with new acoustic AND full band dates booked.

Oh yeh, and it only happens but once a year on New Years Eve, but Mandz got pissed. Here is a picture of his triumph as he does his impression of a carpet-muncher:

Nope, he ain't well.

-The Way official Merchandise will be available shortly, everything from T-shirts, keyrings, badges, wallets, dogtags and posters will be there for you to get your hands on at bargain prices. They will make great pressies for your mum, so keep checking as it's on a first come first serve basis so don't 'dilly dally'... whatever that means.

-The Way have had a busy few weeks playing oodles of gigs across the Midlands, including Coventry's very own Colosseum and The Jailhouse, Cafe One in Birmingham and The Anker in Nuneaton and The Copper Pot in Leamington. All of the reviews and pictures are now up on the events page, so make sure you check them out cos I spent ages on that. Also, exciting stuff this, the band are set to play in Liverpool's most famous venue in the new year, The Cavern Club. Famed for staging Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and...errr...the other geezer in The Beatles, this one will be a quality night.

- We have recently updated our dusty old website into this brand spankingly new, super-duper wicked-awesome treat for your eyes and ears which you see before you. Following the band's very first photoshoot recently (in which they all claimed at various points "They're not posers"...."Honest guv'"), they are now working on a new and improved press-pack to match the glorious website, and a new CD has been mentioned in the not-so-distant future! Please add us to your favourites, as there will be updates very regularly, particularly on the EVENTS page, plus it will make us feel popular if we get lots of hits. If you get chance inbetween watching Neighbours and going down the boozer, please forward us to your friends as we want to spread the word in our quest to lead you to rock 'n' roll glory....plus it saves us doing it.
